In ahouse,3 bulbs of 100 Watt each are lighted for 5 hours daily, 2 fans of

50 Watt each are used for 10 hours daily and a n electric heater of 1KWh is

used for half an hour daily. Calculate the total energy consumed in a month of

31 days and its cost at the rate ₹ 3.60/KWh. (4)​

one 50 W bulb for 1 hour = 50 Watt-Hour

10 50 W bulbs for 1 hour = 50*10 = 500 Wh

No. of hours = 10 hours / per day * 30 days = 300 hours

so, 10 50W bulbs for 10 hours/per day for 30 days = 500 * 300 Wh

1 Kilowatt hour = 1000 watt hour

so energy in KWh = 150 KWh.
