In an a.c. circuit V and I are given by
V = 100 sin (1006) volts
1-100 sin (100t + pi/3) mA
The power dissipated in the circuit is
(1) 10 watt
(2) 10 watt

Answer:

10 watts

Explanation:

V = 100 sin (100t) volts

I = 100 sin (100t + pi/3) mA = 0.1 sin (100t + pi/3) A

The power dissipated in the circuit is  = 10sin (100t)  sin (100t + pi/3)

the phase difference is π/3

so let v = z1 = 100  , I = z2 = 0.1(cosπ/3 + jsinπ/3)

power = 10√(cos²π/3 + sin²π/3) = 10 watts
