17th term is 7 more than 10th term

i.e., A₁₇ = A₁₀ + 7

a + 16d = a + 9d + 7

a + 16d - a - 9d = 7

7d = 7

d = 1

Hence,

The Common difference is 1

17th term = A+16D


And,

10th term = A +9D


According to question,


17th term = 10th term + 7

A + 16D = A+9D +7

A-A + 16D -9D = 7

7D = 7

D = 7/7 => 1

Hence,

common difference is 1
