In an A. P. 17th term is 7 more than its 10th term. Find the common difference.

17th term = 7 + 10th term

a + 16d = 7 + a + 9d

16d = 7 + 9d

16d - 9d = 7

7d = 7

$d = \frac{7}{7}$

d = 1

Common difference is 1

Given that,

17th term = 10th term + 7

A + 16D = A + 9D + 7

16D - 9D +A - A = 7

16D - 9D = 7

7D = 7

D = 7/7 = 1
