According to the question

a15 - a10 = 20

In an A.P

frist term = a

second term = a + d

third term = a + 2d

so they can be written as

a15 = a + 14d

a10 = a + 9d

therefore,

a15 - a10 = 200

a + 14d - ( a + 9d ) = 200

a + 14d - a - 9d = 200

5d = 200

d = 40

Hence the value of d is 40
