also given 12th term is 25

=>a+(12-1)d=25

.:a+11d=25

a=13-5d from (i)

now substituting a in (ii) with 13-5d

we get 13+6d=25

.:d= (25-13)/6=12/6= 2

.:a= 13-5d= 13-10 = 3

so 20th term will be

a+(n-1)d

or 3+(20-1)2= 3+38= 41
