The minimum and the maximum sizes can be calculated with the help of radius ratio. For a tetrahedral void, the radius ratio (= r+/r-) has the limiting values of 0.225-0.414. For octahedral voids, the radius ratio has the limiting values of 0.414-0.732.Therefore the maximum size of the anions is r- = r+/0.225 = 75/0.225 = 333.33 pm and minimum = 75/0.732 = 102.459 pm.
