In an activity teacher took a plastic mug. By making two holes he inserted two carbon

electrodes inside two rubber stoppers. The rods were connected to a 9 volt battery. The

mug was filled with water and dilute Sulphuric acid was added to it. Two test tubes were

inserted covering the rods and current was passed in the water. It was observed that

bubbles were
