In an alloy weight 68.5 kg , the metal zinc, iron and copper are in the ratio 2:3:5. find the weight of each metal in the alloy ​

Answer:

Let the ratio of the metals in the alloy be 2x , 3x and 5x respectively.

2x + 3x + 5x = 68.5 KG

=> 10x = 68.5

=> x = 6.85 KG

Therefore ,

Zinc = 2x = 6.85*2 = 13.7 KG

Iron = 3x = 6.85*3 = 20.55 KG

Copper = 5x = 6.85 * 5 = 34.25 KG
