Ammeter has 10 divisions between 0 to 0.5A

So, reading of one division { it is also known as least count } = {gap between higher value and lower value }/number of divisions

= (0.5A - 0)/10 = 0.05A

∴ reading of one division = 0.05A

∴ reading of 17 division = 17 × reading of one division = 17 × 0.05 = 0.85A

Hence, the value corresponding to 17 divisions= 0.85A
