Answer:

Given a= 5

d = 3 and,

an = 50

an = a + (n - 1)d

50 = 5+(n-1)3

45 = 3n-3

48 = 3n

n = 16

sn =  \frac{n}{2} (a + an)

sn = 16/2(5+50)

sn = 8×55

sn=440

Hope it helps you..

a=5

d=3

an=50

n=?

Sn=?

an= 50

=> 5+(n-1) 3 = 50

=> 5+3n - 3=50

=> 5 + 3n= 53

=> 3n= 48

=> n =16

Therefore,

Sn= n/2 {2a+(n-1)d}

=16/2 {2×5+(16-1)3}

=8{10+45}

=8×55

= 440

Answer: n= 16 and Sn=440.
