hello dear!!

Given d = – 4

a7 = 4

We know that nth term of A.P. is

an = a + (n – 1)d

a7 = a + (7 – 1)d [n = 7]

4 = a + 6(– 4)

∴ a = 4 + 24 = 28

∴ First term of an A.P. = 28

Step-by-step explanation:

In an AP,

d=4

t7=4

t1=?

tn=a+(n-1)d

t7=a+(7-1)4

4=a+(6)4

4=a+24

4-24=a

-20=a

a= -20

tn=a+(n-1)d

t1= -20+(1-1)4

t1= -20+0

t1= -20

Therefore,first term is -20.
