in an ap the sum of fifth term and eighth term is 120 . calculate the sum of first 12 terms of the sequence???

Answer:

a + 4d + a + 7d = 120

=> 2a + 11d = 120

Now S12

= 12/2 × ( 2a + 11d )

= 6 × 120

= 720
