In an aquatic habitat, fish have streamlined bodies and respire underwater through their gills.
However, mammals such as dolphins and whales also live in such habitats, but they do not
have gills. How can they survive in aquatic habitat alongside fish?

The shape of the body is said to be streamlined, if the body tapers at both the ends.
Examples: Fishes have streamlined body so that they have less resistance when swimming in water. Birds have a streamlined body to make their flight easier through air. Snakes have streamlined body to help them move forward.
