Answer:

Explanation:

=> v ∝ 1/√r

=> Suppose, In an atom two electrons A and B move around its nucleus in circular orbit of radius r and 4r

v_A ∝ 1/√r ...(1)

v_B ∝ 1/√4r ...(2)

Dividing (2) by (1), we get

v_B/v_A = 1 / 2

=> The ratio of time taken by them to complete one Revolution:

t_A / t_B = 2πr / v_A / 2π(4r)/v_B

= 1/4 * v_B/v_A

=> By Putting the value of v_B / v_A, we get

= 1/4 * 1 / 2

= 1 / 8

= 1 : 8

the ratio of time taken by electrons to complete one Revolution is 1 : 8.
