Number of chairs = Number of rows = x

x*x = 1764

(number of rows*number of chairs = capacity of auditorium)

x² = 1764

x = √1764

∴ x = 42

The Number of Chairs and The Number of Rows are the same

Also, Number of Chairs = x

Hence, The number of chairs in each row = 42
