Let 'x' be the total number of voters.

Given 60% of  x = 2100

60 x /100 = 2100

x = 2100 x 100 / 60 = 3500

(2) total number of voters = 10000

The number of votes cast = 60% of 10000

= 6000

For 1 type question, Let 'x' be the total number of voters.

Given:  60% of x = 2100, 60 x /100 = 2100 => x = 2100 x 100 / 60 = 3500.

For 2 type question: let total number of voters = 10000, then the number of votes cast = 60% /10000 = 6000.
