Number of valid votes = (100-8)/100  * 6,00,000 = 5,52,000

Candidate got 5,52,000 * 65 /100 = 3, 58, 800

total votes = 600000
8% invalid
⇒92% valid votes=92X600000/100=552000
candidate got 65% of the valid votes
so he got=65X552000/100=358800
