Wining candidate's vote = 62%

Find the percentage of votes the losing candidate has:

Losing candidate's vote = 100 - 62 = 38%

Find the difference in percentage:

Difference in percentage = 62 - 38 = 24%

Find the number of winning votes:

The difference in votes = 24%

The difference in votes = 144 votes

24% = 144

1% = 144 ÷ 24 = 6 votes

62% = 6 x 62 = 372 votes

Answer: The winning candidate has 372 votes
