invalid votes 20%

valid votes = 80%

total votes=7500

100 eqquals to 7500

then 1 equals to 75

nd 80( vali votes) quals to 75*80= 6000

i hope you will get this method

Let the candidates be A & B

Total number of invalid votes are =

total number of votes x percent of invalid votes= ( 7500 x 20 ) / 100

= 1500

Total number of valid votes are =

total number of votes-Total number of invalid votes= 7500 - 1500

= 6000

Total number of votes A got are =

total number of valid votes x percent of valid votes A got= ( 6000 x 55)

_______

100

= 3300

Total number of votes B got are=

total number of valid votes-Total number of votes A got= 6000 - 3300

= 2700

The number of valid votes that the other candidate got are = 2700
