candidates in a city. 40% voters did
not cast their vote and winning
candidate gets 56% of polled votes
and wins by 864 votes. Find the
number of total voters in the city.(all
votes polled are valid)​

56 % + 40% - 100% = 4%

4% candidates losses vote

no. of voters = 56 % + 4% /100 * 864

= 60 /100 * 864

= 518. 4
