By the data given,one candidate got 47% and the other got (100-47) 53% votes.
So,the candidate lost by 6% votes.
Let total votes be X.
Then ,6 % of X=12366
X=12366×100/6 =206100
So, winning candidate got 53 % of 206100 votes =53×206100/100=109233
