In an election between two candidates, the winning candidate has got 70% of the votes polled and has won by 15400 votes. what is the number of votes polled for loosing candidate?

Also given he won by 15400 votes

Hence 70 = 15400

Value of 1 =  \frac{15400}{70}

1 = 220

100 = 220 * 100

⇒ 100 = 22000

Hence the total number of votes polled were 22000
