in an election between two candidats a and b,30000 votes were polld. a won the election with margin of 400 votes. find the ratio of votes polled in favour of each condidate.

Total no of candidate to votes are 30000
A won by 400 votes
A+B = 30000
A=15000
B=15000,
A=15400 because A won by 400 votes
B=14600
A:B=15400:14600 further simplification we get
A:B=77:73......
