The total number of voters is 30.

So, number of votes won by x is 2/5 of total votes .

Therefore , votes won by x = 2/5 of 30

= 2/5 × 30

= 2×6

= 12 votes.

Number of votes won by z is 1/3 of total votes.

Therefore, votes won by z = 1/3 of 30

= 1/3 ×30

= 30/3

= 10

Number if votes won by x is 12 and z is 10.

So, number of votes won by y will be =
(Total number of votes) -(number of votes won by x and z)

y = 30 - ( 12+10)

y = 30 - 22

y = 8

Answer) Number if votes won by Mr. y is 8.
