Given: Three candidates participated ,the losing candidates get 30% votes.

To find: What could be the minimum absolute margin of vote by which the winning candidates led by the nearest the rival.

Solution:

  • Let total votes be 100.
  • So the loosing candidate who obtained less votes are 30 %
  • That is 30 votes.
  • So the remaining votes are : 100 - 30 = 70 votes.
  • So out of 70 votes both will get some votes but not equal.
  • Now as per the condition the difference should be minimum.
  • So this is only possible when one gets 34 votes and the other gets 36 votes.
  • And difference comes out to be 36-34 = 2

Answer:

So the minimum difference will be 2.
