An electric torch has more than one dry cell which act as a 'source'. These cells are connected through a switch to a small bulb. When the switch is pressed 'on', the bulb glows and when it is pressed 'off' the stops glowing. When the switch is pressed off, the circuit is incomplete and the bulb is off. When the switch is pressed on, the circuit is complete and the bulb glows.
