Step-by-step explanation:

let x be the number of ₹5 notes and y be the number of ₹10 notes.

according to question

x+10=y

x-y=10 (1)

and again

5x+10y=350 (2)

Multiplying eq (1) by 5

we have,

5x-5y=50(3)

Subtracting eq3 from eq²

5x + 10y= 350

-5x - 5y= 50

15y= 300

y= 300/15= 20

putting the value of y in eq 1

x-y= 10

x-20= 10

x= 10+20= 30
