In an essay, explain how disappointments can have a good side.

Disappointments come many times in everyone’s
life. They can bring you down and hurt your feelings, but actually and
surprisingly disappointments have a good side to them. When you do not get the
job, or your friend has to cancel his or her plans with you at the last minute,
those examples are both disappointments. Instead of being sad think of the
positives and about the good things about disappointments. You and your friend
might have to make another day to hangout, but you could maybe play LONGER when
you reschedule it or go somewhere even better than you had planned!
When you don’t get the job…it’s okay! Maybe the job just was not right
for you and maybe later you will get offered another job and maybe even a better
job with better pay!
Another example of a disappointment is when you
find out your friend or someone that you know very well is talking behind your
back is another example of being disappointed but that can also teach you a
lesson. That “friend” that was talking behind your back to others is really not
a true friend and you are better off without that person and learn who you can
trust and who you should be guarded with.
Disappointments are hard and sometimes they are
even a little frustrating, but always remember that there is most likely a
reason. Always stay confident and positive and think about the good things and
how something can happen better than what you had planned for. It
may not come as soon as you would like for it to but try to be patient and it
will surely happen. Good things
are worth waiting for. Whether it
be trying out for a team and you did not make it, or you made a bad grade on an
important test, although it is disappointing, you can think of a way to turn it
around and just by doing that, it will seem easier.
Here are some good thoughts and solutions to help
with your disappointment! Whenever you are disappointed with your school work or
anything else involving school feel free to always go up and ask your teacher
for help or advice. Extra credit work is a good thing to ask for also. Or if you
do not feel comfortable asking your teacher you can always go home and ask your
parents for help or what you could improve on.
Always think
positive!
