in an event there are 1048 attendees and chairs are arranged in such a way that the number of rows is equal to the number of chairs. find the maximum number of chairs in a row or a column and the number of attendees left to be seated.

First find that is 1048 a square of any number. If not a square of any no. then find the nearest square to 1048 which is 31*31=1024.
Hence in each row 31 chairs are there.
1048-1024=24.
Hence 24 chairs are left
