in an exam A get 25% and failed by 56 marks B gets 50% which is exceeded by 144 marks from the miminum marks ..what is the minimum marks to pass the exam?

Then according to first statement .25p+56= min passing marks

According to the second statement .50p-144 =min passing marks

Equating the two

.25p+56=.50p-144

.25p=200

p=800

So min passing marks is 800
