in an exam the pass marks is 40%..if a student gets 65 marks and fails by 3 marks, then find the maximum marks.

ok so basically

passing marks is 40%

he gets 65 and fails by 3 marks

marks to pass = 65+3 = 68

40% of x = 68

x= 170
