Failed student ➪ 15%

Passed students ➪ 425

Total student be x

 \frac{425}{x}  \times 100 = (100 - 15)\%

 ==> \frac{ 425000 }{8}  = x

 ==> x = 500

Failed student = 500 - 425 = 75

Hence, solved.
