Given,

Percentage of students failed in Maths= 40%

Percentage of students failed in English= 30%

Percentage of students failed in both subjects= 15%

Therefore, Percentage of students failed in Maths only=> (40-15)%= 25%

Percentage of students failed in English only=> (40-30)%= 10%

Therefore, Total percentage of students failed=> (25+10+15) %= 50%

And total percentage of students passed=> (100-50) %= 50%

Therefore, The pass percentage is 50%
