in an examination 400 students appeared if 2/3 boys and 130 girls passed examination then find how many boys failed in examination

Total Students = 400

Total Girls = 130

Passed Girls = 130

Total boys = 400-130 = 270

Passed boys =  \frac{2}{3}  \times 270 = 180 \\

Boys failed = 270 - 180 = 90

Hence, 90 boys failed in examination.
