in an examination 42% candidate were considered failed in maths were as 52% failed in English if 17% failed in both the subject and 46 candidate passed if both subject find the number of candidates appears in exam​

Answer:

Let total number of student = 100

Fail in English = 52

Fail in Math = 43

Fails in both = 17

Fail only in English = (52 - 17) = 35

Fails only in Math = (43 - 17) = 26

No of student fail at least any subject = (17 + 35 +26) = 78

Hence, Student pass in both subject = (100 - 78) = 22%
