The total number of students who passed the class are 21%.

It is a problem of venn diagrams.

Let a be the students failing only chemistry.

Let b be the students failing both.

Let c be the students failing only physics.

From the question we are given :-

a+b =55%.

b=23%.

b+c=47%.

Hence solving,we get the value of a as 32% and c as 24%.

Hence the total number of student failing the class = a+b+c =  79%.

=> the total number of students who passed the class are 100-79% = 21%.
