• then find total number of examinees from it

Solution :

Total percentage of examinees

Percentage of passed examinees = 65%

➠Total percentage of examinees = passed examinees + failed examinees

➠ Percentage of failed examinees = 100 - 65

➠ Percentage of failed examinees = 35%

Number of failure examinee = 35% of x

➠ 120 = (35/100) × x

➠ x = 120×100 ÷ 35

➠ x = 342.8

as x can't be in decimal

x = 343
