Given, 70% students passed in physics.

     so, 1 - 70/100

          = 30% failed in Physics.        -------------- (1).

Given, 65% students passed in Chemistry

So, 1 - 65/100

      = 35% failed in Chemistry      ---------------- (2).

Percentage of students failed in both subject = 27%.     ---------- (3)

On solving (1),(2),(3), we get

= 35 + 30 - 27

= 38%.

Percentage of students passed  = 100 - 38%

                                                       = 62%.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

There are 62 % of students are passed

Step-by-step explanation:

Explanation:

Given , Student passed in physic = 70 %

Student passed in Chemistry = 65%

Student failed in both subject = 27 %

Step 1:

Students failed in Physic = (100- 70)% = 30 %

Student failed in Chemistry = (100- 65)%= 35%

and given that Student failed in both subject = 27 %

From the formula  n(A ∪ B) = n(A) + n(B) – n(A ∩ B)  .

Where n(A) = 30% , n(B) = 35 % and n(A ∩ B) = 27 %  .

Therefore , total failed percentage = (30 + 35 - 27 )% = 38%

So , the percentage of students wo passed = 100- 38 = 62%

Final answer :

Hence , 62% of students are passed .
