In an examination, 80% of the students passed in English,85% in mathematics and 75% in both English and mathematics.If 40% students failed in the both subject, find the total no of students. Give Answer Elaborately Please​

The answer can't be; because in a class of 100%, 75% passed in both then the failed percentage in both the subjects should be 25%. but it was given that the percentage is 40%.
