Percent of students passed= 95 percent

No. of students failed= 20

Percent of students who failed= 100-95= 5 percent

Let x be the total number of candidates.

20= 5/100*x

20*100= 5x

2000= 5x

2000/5= x

400= x

So the total number of candidates is400.
