If 92 students failed that is 5% of total students

Lets total students be x

So, 5% of x = 92

x = 9200/5

x = 1840

total students is 1840

let total candidate who appeared in examination is 100%
95% passed means 5% failed. and failed candidates are 92
means 5% = 92
then 100% = (92/5)× 100
= 92×20 = 1840
total = 1840 candidate
