Answer:

Let the marks obtained by B be 'x'

A/q

x + 20℅ of x = 432

x + 20/100 × x = 432

x + 1/5 × x = 432

x + x/5 = 432

(5x + x)/5 = 432

6x/5 = 432

6x = 432 × 5

x = 2160/6

x = 360 = Marks obtained by B

Again ,

Marks obtained by C be y

A/q

y - 10% of y = 360

y - 1/10 y. = 360

( 10y - y)/10 = 360

9y/10 = 360

9y = 3600

y = 3600/9

y = 400 = Marks obtained by C .

Hence , Marks obtained by B is 360

Marks obtained by C is 400
