Let Pass marks be P, and Total marks be T,
So, A got 40% therefore:
0.4T = P - 40.......(1)
B got 60%, so:
0.6T = P + 40......(2)
Solving (1) and (2), we get:
0.2T = 80, giving T = 400,
Putting value of T in (1), we get
P = 200
So, A got 40% therefore:
0.4T = P - 40.......(1)
B got 60%, so:
0.6T = P + 40......(2)
Solving (1) and (2), we get:
0.2T = 80, giving T = 400,
Putting value of T in (1), we get
P = 200
