Marks Rahul got = 178
Marks required for passing the examination = 178 + 32 = 210
It is given that a student must secure a minimum of 40% to pas this exam.
210 is equal to the 40% of the maximum marks.
Let x be the total marks.
x = (210/40)*100
x = 2100/4
x = 525
Therefore, the maximum marks a student can get in this examination is 525.
