In an examination, each correct answer carries 3 marks and each wrong answer
carries -1 mark. A student obtained 18 marks for attempting all the questions.
Had there been 4 marks for each correct answer and -1 for each wrong answer,
his total marks would have been 25. Ifx represents the number of correct answers

y the number of wrong answers, represent the above using pair of linear

To Find :  represent the above using pair of linear equations.​

Solution:

Correct answers = x

Incorrect answers = y

3x - y  = 18

4x - y  = 25

=> x = 7

    y = 3

Total questions = 7 + 3 = 10
