in an examination in which full mark were 5oo, a got 20% less than b, b got 25% more than c, c got 20% less than d if a got 360 marks, what percentage of full marks was obtained by d

full mark was 500, a got 360 marks. therefore he overall percentage obtained =

(360×100)÷500 =72%.

according to the question, a got 20% less than b . we know I got 72% ,

therefore,total percentage obtained of a =total percentage of b - 20%

or, 72 % + 20%=total percentage of b

or, 92%=total percentage of b

according to question, total percentage of b was 25% more than c

therefore, total percentage of b =25 %+ c

or, 92% =25% + c

or, 67%=c

again

according, to the question c got 25 percentage less d

therefore, total percentage of c =total percentage of d - 20%

or, 67% + 20%=total percentage of D

or, 87%= total percentage of D
