In an examination it is required to get 40% of aggregate marks to pass . A student gets 265 marksvand is declared fail by 55 marks. What is maximum marks a student can get ?

The student failed by 55 marks ,so if he get 55 more marks he would have passed. That means 265+55=320. So if he get 320 ,it means he will get 40%. So 800 marks =100%(maximum marks) .
