In an examination out of 3600 students 65% boys and 80% girls passed.if total pass percentage of students is 75% then find the number of girls failed?

➡ Given:

Total number of students = 3,600

➡ Total Number of passed boys = 65%

➡ Total Number of Passed Girl = 80%

Now, ➡ According to the Question Statement!

➡ Percentage of total students passed = 75%

•°• 75% of total Student

➡ 75/100 × 3,600

➡ 75× 36

➡ 2700

Now, Let the number of boys in School be 'x'

Then, 65% of x + 80% of (3600-x) = 2700

→ 65 × x / 100 + 80 × (3600-x)/100 = 2700

→ 65x/100 - 80x +28800/100 = 2700

→ 65x-80x+288000 = 2700× 100

→ -15x + 288000 = 270000

→ -15x = 270000 - 288000

→ -15x = -18000

→ 15x = 18000

→ x = 18000/15

➡ x = 1,200

Now, Number of boys = 1,200

➡ According to the Question!!

➡ Number of Girls = 3600 -x

➡ Number of Girls = 3600-1200

➡ Number of Girls = 2400

Hence, Required Number of Girls = 2400.

Hi,

65% of x + 80% of (3600-x) = 2,700

=> 65 × x / 100 + 80 × (3600-x)/100 = 2,700

=> 65x/100 - 80x +28800/100 = 2,700

=> 65x-80x+288000 = 2700× 100

=> -15x + 288000 = 270,000

=> -15x = 270000 - 288000

=> -15x = -18000

=> 15x = 18000

=> x = 180,00/15

☺ x = 1,200

No. of Girls = 36,00 -12,00 = 24,00
