Answer:

Case 1 -  84 %

Case 2 - 72 %

Step-by-step explanation:

Ashok obtained 1080 out of 2000

so ashok % marks = (1080/2000) * 100 = 54 %

Ram obtaining 20% more than ashok can be 20% of total marks or 20% more than what ashok obtained. Similarly ashok and rajesh %

Case 1 - Ram obtaining 20% more than ashok can be 20% of total marks

Ram obtained 20% more than ashok = 54 + 20 = 74 %

Ram obtained 10% less than rajesh

so rajesh Obtained = 74 + 10 = 84 %

Rajesh marks = (84/100)*2000 = 1680

Case 2 Ram obtaining 20% more than ashok marks

Ashok marks = 1080

Ram marks = 1080 ( 1 + 20/100)  = 1080 * 1.2 =  1296

Let say rajesh marks = R

10 % less than rajesh marks = R ( 1 - 10/100) = 0.9R

0.9R = 1296

R = 1296/0.9

R = 1440

Rajesh % marks = (1440/2000) * 100 = 72 %
